on six years in the Twin Cities music scene, Gel continue to deliver the
fun alternative music and driving hard rock that they have been known for.
Their addictive on-stage energy, interactive video screens and sound samples,
and ever-constant humor have made them one of the most sought after groups
in the area. Voted “Best Rock Band” in the 2002 City Pages, and nominated
for “Best Cover Band” in the 2003 Minnesota Music Awards, Gel have proven
themselves as a band to be noticed.
Original
members Jim (bass guitar & backing vocals) and Eric (drums and backing
vocals) have been the solid rhythm section since Gel’s inception in 2001.
Their continued consistency has been vital in maintaining the group’s success
and continued growth.
Scott
(vocals & guitar) and EJ (guitar & backing vocals), both of whom
joined the group in the last year, have brought to Gel a newer, fresher
and tighter sound, giving the band a new edge and excitement that is apparent
at every show.
With
their new improved lineup, their ever-extensive song list, high-energy,
and guaranteed good time show, Gel have proven that they will continue
to be one of Minnesota’s must-see bands. |
